Production Supervisor required to join a well-established precision engineering company that is based in the St Neots area. They specialise in Chemical etching and laser cutting, and due to continuous succession they are looking for a Production Supervisor to join them and be accountable for the performance of the team within the department and the equipment used within that department.

Production Supervisor Position Overview

Plan resource (personnel & equipment) requirements that will ensure production schedule requirements can continuously be met. Organise, control, allocate and monitor workflow in a Safe environment to meet required Quality, Delivery and Cost.
Motivate and direct the team, creating autonomy and building confidence.
Set out and manage a preventative maintenance program for all equipment to ensure minimum down time and maximise equipment efficiency.
Set out and manage a system to control Stock of materials and consumables required
Monitor, individual, team and production Performance.
Maintain good internal and external customer relationships.
Review and comply to any customer requirements including but not limited to customer build& quality specifications & traceability requirements.
Review and act on any internal/external customer complaints or queries in a professional and timely manner.
Actively encourage, engage and manage a continuous improvement plan
Maintain document revisions via auditing, updating and re-training as required to current process requirements in terms of Safety, COSHH, Standard Operating Procedures, Training Documentation and Process Forms.
Offer constructive feedback, advice, support and guidance whilst maintaining a patient, respectful demeanour, and in doing so provide continual staff training/ development and mentoring.
Maintain records associated to staff in line with Photofabrications policies. Including but not limited to
Timelines, 121's, Absence, Disciplinary, Training and Team meetings.

Production Supervisor Position Requirements

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers & Suppliers.
Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel and Outlook)
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
Ability to work independently and to work within teams to achieve the agreed targets.
Have transferable skills that suit the hands on manufacture of thin metal parts, good hand eye coordination for cutting out composite material, forming and finishing enabling the ability to coach / train staff as required.
Experience in the use of continuous improvement techniques.

Production Supervisor Position Remuneration

Full time - permanent position
Monday to Friday
Salary £30,000 - £35,000 DOE
