Head of Logistics ***Award Winning Food Manufacturer*** 
Kent, site based Monday to Friday with limited travel across our clients network.
£90,000 to £120,000 Per annum + Pension + Life Insurance + holiday.

The opportunity:
An Omni Channel Food Manufacturer with an award-winning product portfolio, seeking to recruit an customer-centric, qualified and experienced Head of Logistics to oversee and optimise their warehouse/distribution operations.

What will my accountabilities be?
As the Head of Logistics, your primary responsibility will be to develop and execute strategies aimed at maximizing efficiency, streamlining processes, and ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of products to both internal and external customers and suppliers. Given our rapid growth trajectory, you will also play a pivotal role in strategic planning, including the formulation of effective national distribution strategies and ensuring that our clients' logistics operations and infrastructure are aligned with our long-term growth objectives.

Cultivate an inclusive work culture as you lead and manage a team of warehouse and distribution professionals. Provide ongoing guidance, training, and check-ins to maintain a high-performing team, foster transparent communication through engaging huddles and personalized one-on-one interactions.
Strategize and execute plans for rapid growth, optimizing every facet of warehouse and distribution operations to elevate efficiency and elevate the customer experience.
Oversee the entire spectrum of warehouse operations, from inventory control to storage, picking, packing, and shipping. Ensure the seamless and efficient flow of processes.
Establish and uphold a robust distribution network within the parameters of our Operator's License. This encompasses fleet management, third-party logistics partner selection and management, route optimization, and the implementation of best practices for punctual and cost-effective deliveries.
Continually assess warehouse and distribution processes, pinpoint areas for enhancement, and execute improvements to boost efficiency, precision, and productivity.
Execute and uphold efficient inventory control systems and procedures, guaranteeing precise tracking, minimal stock discrepancies, and optimal inventory levels.
Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for warehouse and distribution operations. Analyse data and employ insights to drive performance enhancements.
Ensure strict adherence to our Operator's License, all pertinent regulations, industry standards, and safety guidelines to maintain a secure working environment and minimize potential risks.
Collaborate extensively with suppliers and customers to establish, nurture, and maintain strong relationships. Engage in contract negotiations, performance monitoring, and swift resolution of any issues or disputes.
Stay at the forefront of warehouse management systems (WMS), distribution software, and emerging technologies. Continuously recommend and implement innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.

A great candidate will have:

Essential: Multisite Operator’s License experience (incl. HGV & MHE ops)
Essential: CPC for National Road Haulage Operations
Essential: Proven record leading warehouse and distribution operations gained within a FMCG environment
Essential: Experience in warehouse management principles, distribution strategies and supply chain optimization
Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and track record in building high performing teams.
Familiarity with WMS, distribution software, and tech tools.
Data-driven problem-solving abilities.
Process Improvement: Expertise in optimizing operations and implementing best practices.
Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
Inventory Management: Profound knowledge of inventory control and order fulfilment.
Compliance and Safety: Warehouse and distribution regulations and safety standards.
