A leading engineering company who does project work within the nuclear industry, are seeking to recruit a Project Quality Engineer to join the team to manage quality requirements and deliverables to internal and external stakeholders. This is based in Reading.
About the role:
Working in the Engineering portfolio you would provide quality assistance, expertise and advise supporting through each design review, ensuring that all project quality requirements are considered and incorporated into the design.
Reporting to the Lead Quality Engineer.
Maintaining customer and project relationships through clear communication and teamwork contributing to customer satisfaction.
Carrying out project quality control and assurance activities in accordance with client contract requirements and disseminate to project and supply chain stakeholders.
Preparing and reviewing quality information including reports, specifications, and customer reviews.
Managing customer concerns and complaints and producing improvement plans.
Assistance in generating TQs, PPs, Cons, NCRs and completing root cause analysis and implementation of preventative and corrective actions.
Management of Technical File (Life-Time Records) and 3rd party inspections.
Supporting tender/bid process.What you will need:
ISO 9001 auditor.
Sc Clearance or able to obtain clearance before starting.
Equivalent of a Level 5 in Quality Management or above (desirable)
NDT operator (PCN) desirable.
Member of CQI desirable.
At least 5 years’ experience in a Quality/Inspection role.
Experience working within project team/client facing role.
Experience working within a manufacturing/Fabrication
Understanding of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
Review of Project specific documentation for Assurance compliance.
Carry out investigations into product non-conformance using appropriate problem-solving tools (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys, FMEA, cause and effect diagrams etc), monitoring effectiveness of actions implemented.
Strong Microsoft Office Suite understanding.What’s in it for you:
