Duties & Responsibilities
Lead review, update and maintain EI DFMEA for all EMEA projects, in conjunction with Customer and the Client Design Team
Schedule DFMEA reviews with Customer and the Client design team to align to project gateway requirements
Ensure DFMEA cover sheets are signed and stored in line with gateway and audit requirements
Ensure timely and regular follow up of action items & plans
Lead creation, development and maintenance of DFMEA's for in-house designed products with support from design Engineering team
Review supplier DFMEA's, complete FMEA review sheet and approval for electronic design products with support from design Engineering team
Customer DFMEA handbook - review updates, cascade to team and ensure compliance
Train and coach engineering team on DFMEA process and disciplines in method usage and tools, creation of evaluations and reports, support in assessment and presentation of results.
Interface to Customer on all DFMEA reviews and issues
Interface to manufacturing teams for DFMEA to PFMEA alignment
Work with DVP team to ensure SC's are aligned to DFMEA
Review SC's and CC's on component drawings (with SQE) to ensure they are documented correctly
Maintain Generic component DFMEA (for each type of component)
Support DVP team with Customer FMA documentation (boundary diagram, quality history, P-diagrams, etc.)
Support DVP and design team when possible
Follow the Clients' processes and procedures
Ensure documents are stored in correct location
Follow the Clients' Quality Management System (QMS) as defined in the Quality Management Handbook
Support for the Project Manager and the FMEA team to review and release the FMEA.
Cooperation in System- and Design-FMEA and offer inputs to Process-FMEA.
Support HW development activities to, review the work products and develop the hardware design where necessary
Independent evaluation of product/process maturity and early escalation of risks.
Support for the multidisciplinary project team to proactively identify, evaluate and mitigate the technical risks of products and processes by taking corrective measures as necessary.
Planning, preparation and moderation of the FMEA according to the Client's methodology and the applicable automotive standards.
Requirements
Extensive experience with electronics engineering within automotive
Solid experience with DFMEA
Ideally have experience with power electronics and body electronics
Technical knowledge of Electronic design, EMC, Thermal Management, Design for Manufacturing, Design for Testing
Very good project management skills
Excellent communication skills at all levels
Good Presentation skills
Full valid driving licence to drive in the UK
Fluent in English
Right to work in the UK - Valid Passport
Ability to travel both in the UK and Overseas, sometimes at short notice
