Functional Skills and Maths Tutor
Location: East Midlands- Hybrid Flexible Working

An exciting job opportunity is available for a Functional Skills and Maths Tutor to join a reputable training provider in East Midlands.
This organisation operates as a “non for profit” company and has an amazing reputation.

The Functional Skills Tutor would qualify for the following:
• Permanent position offering a highly competitive salary range between £27000-£30000
• 25 days, rising to 30 days + bank holidays + flexible working hours between Monday-Friday

As a Functional Skills and Maths Tutor, the successful candidate will need to use multiple teaching and learning strategies to deliver programs that meet the learners' needs. They will be responsible for planning and delivering Maths sessions both remotely and in-person, on a one-to-one basis, and in group settings.

Responsibilities of the Functional Skills Tutor include:
• consistently delivering good or better teaching sessions, incorporating various learning strategies and technologies to enable outstanding learning outcomes
• coordinating and leading Maths delivery for a caseload of learners, ensuring that assessments are correctly evidenced for funding claims
• Provide academic and pastoral support to students
• working towards excellence, and improving standards, and proactively engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
• Travelling around the East Midlands to deliver engaging Maths training sessions to groups of up to 10 learners

Skills and Experience Required for the Functional Skills and Maths Tutor
• hold a recognised Teaching Qualification, Functional Skills level 2 or above in Maths
• have previous experience delivering Maths Functional Skills to Apprenticeship Learners
• be proficient in using Microsoft Teams and virtual learning platforms
• have a strong track record of good or better teaching and learning delivery,
• have knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, equality and diversity.
• They must also hold a full UK driving license and have access to a vehicle for site learner visits.
