Job Title: Technical Sales Engineer

Covering the full South of England

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 + Bonus / Profit Share OTE £120,000 - £140,000

Position Overview:

We are in search of an enthusiastic and technically adept Sales Engineer specialising in Heat Pump solutions to cover the South of England. As a Sales Engineer, your primary responsibility will revolve around stimulating sales while offering technical expertise to commercial and industrial clientele interested in greening their heating systems. Our client is dedicated to delivering top-notch, energy-efficient solutions exclusively utilizing natural refrigerants. This position demands self-motivation, exceptional teamwork, and a solid technical background, ideally within the realm of refrigeration.

Key Responsibilities:

* Identify and initiate contact with commercial and industrial clients seeking to transition to heat pump systems to reduce their carbon emissions and enhance energy efficiency.

* Cultivate and sustain strong client relationships by thoroughly understanding their unique needs and requirements for greening their heating systems.

* Furnish clients with expert technical insights and guidance on the merits and suitability of our premium-grade, high-efficiency heat pump solutions.

* Conduct on-site assessments and evaluations to ascertain the feasibility and design prerequisites for heat pump installations.

* Collaborate with internal departments, such as engineering, design, and project management, to formulate comprehensive, tailored heat pump solutions for clients.

* Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals that effectively convey the value proposition and competitive advantages of our heat pump solutions.

* Address client inquiries promptly, provide precise and timely technical information, and resolve any concerns or objections that may arise during the sales process.

* Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and advancements in heat pump technology, and proficiently communicate these developments to clients.

* Team up with the marketing department to craft promotional materials, case studies, and technical documentation that bolster sales efforts.

* Attain or surpass sales targets, thereby contributing to the overall growth and prosperity of the business.


* Possess a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.

* Demonstrate a track record of success in technical sales, with a preference for experience within the heat pump or refrigeration sector.

* Exhibit deep knowledge of heat pump systems, refrigeration principles, and natural refrigerants.

* Display familiarity with commercial and industrial heating systems and their associated components.

* Showcase exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to elucidate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

* Exhibit self-motivation and determination to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional results.

* Prove capable of thriving in a collaborative team environment, coordinating efforts with internal stakeholders to deliver holistic solutions.

* Possess outstanding problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically when addressing client needs and objections.

* Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

* Hold a valid driver's license and be willing to travel to client sites as required.
