We are recruiting for Teaching Assistants to join our team for the new academic of 23/24.

If you are based in the St Austell or surronding areas, and are seeking a new role in Education, we'd love you to join our East-Cornwall team of Teaching Assistants.

We are recruiting for both experienced educators as well as candidates who are new to the education sector
Some experience with children or within care or support work is preferable but not essential providing you can evidence your reason for wanting to enter the classroom or of relevant training
We offer both flexible day-to-day supply work and access to full-time and permanent positions within local primary school
Day-to-day supply work suits lots of people due to the flexibility and ability to plan your work around your personal life and commitments. If you register for day-to-day supply work you gain access to a personal online diary accessible via an app or online, on which you can plan your working week or month to suit you. You are able to decide how far you wish to travel from your home postcode and pick and chose which schools you work in and in which age group. You will build up relationships with local schools and quickly gain continuity. It's often very easy to secure a more long-term role in a school once you've spent some time on supply so if you're wanting a way to ease yourself into a more permanent role, this route would absolutely be our recommendation.

If you are wanting to launch straight into a full-time or part-time role at one school, we can also help and have access to hundreds of settings within Cornwall. All you need to do is get in touch as let us know of your requirements and desires for the perfect role and we'll get chatting with our Headteachers and arrange suitable interviews.

Registration is easy and usually completed within 2 weeks of an initial call consultation. We will invite you to visit our office in Truro for a registration meeting and will require a child workforce only on the update service (we can provide a link should you not already have a certificate).

We offer competitive rates of pay and genuinely consistent working opportunities in the local area.

We look forward to chatting with you to advise you on how we can help.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ’s on the Teaching Personnel website for details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with DfE statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ this may also include an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants.

We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
