Their project portfolio also includes Commercial, Residential, Leisure, Education. This organisation to having Directors leading on projects throughout the full project lifecycle is renowned in the industry, and they are supported by Associate Directors, Associates and staff ranging from Chartered Engineers to Graduates. This company also understand the importance of training and development and have a graduate training programme, which is accredited by the Institution of Civil Engineers and Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers. They are seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their Glasgow office which currently consists of an M&E team of 4.

Your new role

As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the electrical design on a range of Building Services projects. You will work closely with clients, architects, and other engineers to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions. You will also be responsible for mentoring junior engineers and providing technical leadership to the team.

Design electrical systems for buildings including power distribution, lighting, fire alarmm security systems etc.
Ensure electrical designs comply with codes, standards and regulations.
Oversee the entire electrical design process, including project plans and coordinating with contractors and suppliers.
Create detailed design documentation, including drawings, specifications and reports to communicate design intent and facilitate construction.
Attend design team meetings and and laise with other project stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in this role, ideally you will be a Chartered Electrical Engineer or working towards chartership with experience in Building Services design with another consultancy or relevant business. You will have experience leading projects from concept to completion and will be able to demonstrate your technical expertise. You should have use knowledge of Electrical Building Services to education designs such as HV/LV Power, Lighting, Emergency Lighting, Lighting Control, Firm Alarms, Communication Systems etc. Experience with software packages such as AutoCAD, Revit, Trimble, Dialux etc. You will also have excellent communication skills and be able to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
