Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated insurance professional to join our team as an Insurance Credit Hire Claims Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently and accurately handling credit hire claims from start to finish. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including policyholders, insurance companies, garages, and legal representatives, to ensure a smooth and fair claims resolution process. As an Insurance Credit Hire Claims Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service while mitigating financial loss for our organization.
• Receive and review credit hire claims, ensuring completeness and accuracy of information provided.
• Investigate and assess the validity of credit hire claims, reviewing policy terms and conditions, and determining liability and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with policyholders, third-party claimants, insurance companies, and other relevant parties to obtain necessary documentation, statements, and evidence to support the claims process.
• Conduct thorough interviews with involved parties to gather information, assess damages, negotiate settlements, and establish a fair and reasonable resolution.
• Collaborate with internal departments, such as legal, finance, and compliance, to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal policies throughout the claims process.
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders regarding the progress of the claims, addressing any concerns or inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Manage a portfolio of credit hire claims, ensuring adherence to specified timelines and service level agreements.
• Analyze and evaluate claims data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvements.
• Assist in coaching and training junior claims personnel, sharing expertise to enhance the overall performance and knowledge of the team.
• Bachelor's degree in insurance, risk management, business administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in insurance claims handling, specifically in credit hire claims.
• Sound knowledge of insurance policies, contracts, and relevant laws and regulations.
• Strong investigative and analytical skills, with the ability to assess liability, evaluate damages, and negotiate settlements effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain professional relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented and organized, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficient in using claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
