Your new company
A secondary School in Wolverhampton is looking for an Attendance Officer to cover on a long term basis during the autumn term. The role is Monday to Friday, 8.00 am till 4.00 pm and is term time only. The role is to start as soon as possible and to cover till the October half-term in the first instance. The school will be advertising the role on a permanent basis so any candidate carrying out the temporary cover, would be welcome to apply for the permanent role.
Your new role
You will be carrying out the daily duties of an Attendance Officer, logging calls to parents, collating attendance data, updating the school management system and liaising with Heads of Year and Senior Leadership over attendance. You will be involved in arranging meetings with parents and pupils and flagging up and monitoring for any safeguarding issues amongst the cohort.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have experience of dealing with school attendance and the processes around this and using school information systems to update pupil records in relation to attendance. Hays Education will be able to obtain recent satisfactory references that reflect that experience.
