Interaction Accountancy and Finance are delighted to be representing a leading local Accountancy practice in their search for a Technical Compliance Director in a newly created role, based from their Cambridge Office, but covering other offices on a regional basis.

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant and auditor with experience of having worked within an accountancy practice environment in a technical or compliance based role.  Training will be provided for a candidate with previous experience and looking to grow into the role.

The post holder will be responsible for building the compliance team in the future, and play an instrumental part in shaping processes for the operational part of the business.

The successful candidate will be involved with/responsible for:

Provide a technical supporting role to partners/managers across the business on various areas, including Reporting, Audit related matters, anti-money laundering queries
Ensuring effective communication on all areas of compliance within the business
Undertaking cold file reviews
Completion of ICAEW annual returns
Preparing for ICAEW regulatory visits
Other duties to support the business
Applications are invited from individuals with the following skills and experience:

Fully Qualified Accountant with Accountancy practice or within a Quality Assurance role within a relevant accounting institute within the UK
Previous experience within a compliance/Quality Assurance role is essential
Willingness to travel to other offices on an adhoc basis
Team player with a collaborative attitude
Must be eligible to live and work in the UK without requiring sponsorship
