Mental Health Worker - Drama Graduates

Are you a drama graduate and passionate about supporting students with their mental health needs?

An outstanding specialist school in Cheltenham are on the hunt for a Mental Health Worker.

The position is to start as soon as possible.

The role as a Mental Health Worker:

As a Mental Health Worker, you will be directly involved in supporting the students in the classroom. You will be involve in all classroom activities as well as providing assistance with classwork.

While you will be a pillar of support for these students academically, you will also help support them emotionally and mentally. These children need assistance with processing and understanding their emotions. You will help model health ways to cope and regulate and provide positive reinforcement for good coping strategies.

This kind of support can take place in 2 ways. Either you will focus on proving interventions in small groups or in 1 to 1 settings.

What you need to be a great Mental Health Worker:

If you have experience working with students, that is a bonus. However an interest in mental health and an enthusiastic personality is where you will really shine! The school looking for a Mental Health Worker, will be paying close attention to how well you interact with the students and whether you are proactive. Taking initiative is a great quality to have!
