Mechanical Estimator

As a result of year on year growth, an excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join a very successful and well-respected M&E Building Services contractor based in Ringwood, Hampshire.

Remuneration Package for the position of Mechanical Estimator:

* Base salary: £50,000 to £65,000 depending on experience

The company provide a full range of Mechanical and Electrical Building Services from design, through to supply, installation and commissioning to various sectors, including Commercial, Education, Retail and Public Buildings, with typical project values ranging from £100k up to £2m.

Mechanical Estimator - Key Activities include:

* Respond to tender queries, prepare and submit competitive tender packages and quotations with values ranging from £100k up to £2m in accordance with the client’s requirements

* Assess the complexity of each project to determine the cost of labour and materials

* Assisting with the preparation of pre-qualification questionnaires for larger tenders

* Analysis of contract documentation and preparation of accurate sub-contractor packages for pricing, as well as liaising and negotiating with sub-contractors and suppliers

Relevant Qualifications in subjects such as Building Services, Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, Plumbing and Heating etc would be desirable, but not essential.
