About the role:

Astute's Engineering, Procurement & Construction team is partnering with a leading infrastructure solutions business to recruit a Pipe Stress Engineer for one of its sites in either Saltend, or Stockton-on-Tees.

The Pipe Stress Engineer role comes with a salary of up to £55,000, a very generous pension scheme, and hybrid working.

Responsibilities and duties:
As a Pipe Stress Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Compliance with company guidelines, international standards, and UK legislation.
Support and offer technically proficient advice to the piping team.
Formulation of technical reports.
Attendance of different sites to provide expertise and guidance.
Assessment of engineering documents pertaining to piping systems.
Achievement of timely and comprehensive delivery of designated scope of works.

Professional qualifications:
We are looking for someone with the following:
Bachelor's Degree or BTEC qualification in relevant engineering discipline
A robust understanding of piping design codes (including ASME B31.3, EN 13480)
Experience using Caesar II in modelling piping systems.

Personal skills:
The Pipe Stress Engineer role would suit someone who is:
Able to communicate with multiple levels of stakeholders.
Able to rely on their own judgement.
Able to work across multiple teams to achieve a common goal.

Salary and benefits of the role:
£50,000-£55,0000 per annum
Hybrid working (site visits will be required)
Generous pension scheme (3% employee, 10% employer)
