Do you have a passion for working with young people? Whether you're an experienced behaviour support worker, or someone with a desire to support children be the best they can be, this position may be for you.
Academics are working alongside a school in Wakefield with close links to the M1, to employ a pro-active behaviour support worker to join a dedicated SEND and pastoral team.
The position:
Term-time, 8:15am-3:15am, working alongside other behaviour support workers, to support children with positive behaviour.
Work as a behaviour support worker, with the support of the class teacher to de-escalate situations where children may be displaying challenging behaviour.
Work as a behaviour support worker, to ensure that children are attending lessons and effectively report and deal with challenging situations.
Work as a behaviour support worker, within inclusion spaces to support relevant young people socially and emotionally, promoting positive discussions and cosequential behaviour.
The successful candidate may have:
Possible experience as a behaviour support worker, or similar role in an education-type setting.
An enhanced DBS check, on the update service (Academics can support with this if necessary).
A desire to work and improve the lives of children.
Safeguarding training (Academics can support with this if necessary).
