A supportive and highly regarded mainstream primary school in Grays, Essex are seeking a passionate and understanding Teaching Assistant to join them as soon as possible to work closely with children in the school with SEMH. This is a full time role until July 2024 with the view of a permanent contract being offered before September 2024 for the right candidate.
This SEMH Teaching Assistant role involves working closely with students in KS1 & KS2 that have social, emotional and mental health needs. As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will be required to offer 1:1 support and meet the students educational and individual needs. The ideal SEMH Teaching Assistant will have excellent behaviour management and have the ability to work well with children in KS1 & KS2.
Located in the heart of Grays, this primary school has fantastic facilities and resources available to both staff and students. You will have access to a number of bus routes and is local to two stations. There is also a staff car park for those who drive. This primary school provides a fun and secure learning environment for students and staff work closely together to ensure learning is fun and adapted to all needs.
This role is very rewarding as it is challenging. For this role, we welcome experienced Teaching Assistants as well as graduates who have empathy, enthusiasm and a very positive outlook.
You will be directly supporting students as well as helping to organise the teaching and learning resources available to students. You will be working across the school or preferred Key Stage supporting a range of SEN pupils on a 1:1 basis or within small groups. Your focus will be on raising attainment and helping to improve students' academic performance as well as personal growth.
