Business Development Manager (Electrical Power Distribution Units - EV Chargers & Lighting) - HOME-BASED in UK South (ideally within reasonable travel distance of north west London)

A new vacancy for a Business Development Manager with specialist designer & manufacturer of POWER DISTRIBUTION UNITS (also called power bars or power strips) that are used in a broad range of domestic, commercial, retail & industrial sectors throughout the UK and worldwide.

Establised for over 60yrs, the company has been responsible for innovations in the power distribution units market and still leads the way with new ideas and original products. Its product ranges are designed and manufactured at its production site in north west London, where in-house facilities include a metal shop, spray shop, assembly area, inspection and testing facility, packaging, dispatch, stores and a Research & Development office.

The company has recently launched an exciting new range of EV Distribution Boards for EV Chargers and lighting Distribution Units (LDU) for lighting industry, and the Business Development Manager will have full responsiblity for these product lines. The jobholder will also have the opportunity to develop & grow the company's sales department in the medium to long-term, so sales team management experience would also be an advantage. The ideal candidate should have good ELECTRICAL KNOWLEDGE, strong commercial instincts and proven sales ability.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop new business whilst growing existing wholesalers, electrical contractors and installers base
Develop/Enhance Consultant/Specifier customer base
Client meetings to present products
Maintain and develop relationships with the existing customers
Planning, coordinating and executing new product launches in the market

Candidate Requirements:

Good ELECTRICAL KNOWLEDGE with experience selling to electrical contractors and installers
Previous field sales experience selling power distribution products such as PDUs, LDUs, Power Supplies (or experience selling electrical products into EV CHARGING or LIGHTING markets)
Worked within the electrical industry with commercial experience/knowledge
Punctual, organised, able to learn new skills quickly
Good in teamwork and networking
Desire for a role with stability and long-term prospects
Full clean driving licence
