Hays Education are working with a mixed Comprehensive School in Liverpool who are seeking an outstanding history teacher full time across KS3 and KS4. This high school has already developed a strong relationship with the surrounding community and rated “Good” overall from their latest Ofsted inspection with descriptions of “calm classrooms” and students listening to their teachers carefully and quickly following instructions. We work closely with this school to provide day to day staffing needs, long term supply and permanent placements. Hays have become well-respected and a market leader in many areas through a constant focus on providing outstanding customer service to both teachers and schools.
Your new role
You will be supporting the Humanities department teaching History across KS3 and KS4 full time around fifteen pupils per lesson.
In order to be a full-time History teacher, you will need to have qualified teacher status or be looking to complete your induction year. You will also need to have recent experience within a classroom setting in the last five years and be up-to-date with recent curriculum changes. You will need to be a creative and positive teacher who is able to embrace new surroundings and situations, whilst always demonstrating a professional manor. You will have strong classroom management skills with the ability to adapt to unfamiliar plans and timetables. It is imperative that you have good communication skills as this is crucial when speaking to other members of staff and people in the school.
