Design Manager

Finishing, Architectural, main contractor, client side

Central London

£55,000 to £60,000 dependent on experience

Duties:

* Oversee the design and development of new products, ensuring adherence to lean manufacturing principles

* Create and review technical documentation for product development - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve design issues, including root cause analysis

* Maintain and update design files, ensuring accuracy and version control

* Fabricate prototypes and conduct testing to validate design concepts

* Provide technical support to production teams during the manufacturing process

* Stay current with industry trends and advancements in design technology

Requirments:

* Strong joinery knowledge and understanding of construction fit out principles

* Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.) for creating detailed designs

* Experience with logic controllers and automation systems is a plus - Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis

* Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams

* Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
