£200M+ project. Secure role through to 2027. Challenging mix of structures.

A Tier One Contractor has an opportunity for a Site Agent to join their project team and lead the delivery of all structures across the projects, encompassing civil and rail interfaces.

The package includes a number of large retaining walls and the construction of an underpass. The underpass will be technically challenging as the proposed methodology is an under track jack.

All works will be delivered via supply chain. The project is being administered under an NEC contract.

You’ll be working for a proactive private sector client. The project will be fast paced and comes with minimal bureaucracy. Decisions are made quickly and not by committee. The working environment should be very refreshing.

Responsibilities will include:

Lead the delivery team including site engineers, senior engineers and sub agent
Procurement and management of Subcontractors; from contract award to completion
Produce subcontractor procurement scopes and review quotations
Manage the resolution of technical and coordination issues
Coordinate and check the production of all required Safety and Quality documentation
Lead weekly coordination/construction meetings
Check the 3 week lookahead programme produced by your team
Review subcontractors onsite compliance with safety & quality documentation and design.
Investigate safety issues
Complete and organise final inspections on completed works
Identify and raise commercial events through the formal channels to subcontractors and the client

To be successful in this role, it is anticipated that you:

Be educated to HND or Degree level in Civil Engineering
Ideally be IEng or CEng with the ICE
Have demonstrable experience of working for a Tier One Civil Engineering Contractor
Have technical knowledge of constructing large civil structures, not RC Frame
Have knowledge of the NEC form of contract

On offer is a salary of 60,000 – 70,000 per annum with an attractive benefit package
