Salary Scale: £75 – £90
Start Date: Immediately

If you are looking to gain classroom experience and work with young people in one of our fantastic client schools in Dover as a SEMH Cover Supervisor, then we at GSL Education Kent have an exciting opportunity for you.

We are essentially seeking individuals with an interest in working with children, good at following policies and an effective classroom presence!
Free Team Teach Training will be provided to the successful candidate. 

The school has high expectations of all pupils and aims to support them with their social and emotional development as well as their learning needs. 
 
As a SEMH Cover Supervisor you will: 

Supervise classes across the curriculum in the event of a teacher absence. 
Verify that students are working on pre-planned assignments.
Control student behaviour to provide a secure and encouraging learning environment.
Consult with other staff members about the assignments being given and make sure you have the necessary resources.
Provide feedback to the class teacher on pupil attendance, engagement and completion of work tasks.
Deliver planned tasks in compliance with school policy.
Respond to any questions from pupils.  
In order to be considered for the SEMH Cover Supervisor role, the candidate must:

Have the right to work in the UK
Possess an up-to-date Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for a new one
Be committed to safeguarding
Be adaptable, enthusiastic and enjoy working with young people of all backgrounds
