NRL’s energy client based in Fife is looking to recruit a Project Scheduler/Planner on a permanent staff basis. 

About the role:

Is aware of all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) requirements relevant to their role, and implements and complies with them
Generates accurate Site System Time Schedules (S-STS) for the execution phase on site, based on an overall project time schedule
Builds a Site System Time Schedule as an integrated construction project
Controls schedule, based on contract scope requirements. This should establish optimal work sequences, in co-operation with all those involved in the scope
Integrates all activities for the M&E construction and commissioning functions
Manages schedules between internal partners, customers if applicable, consortium and external partners
Supports the Construction Manager by collection of on-site progress reports
Monitors and reports suppliers progress on site
Recommends improvements where the site incurs expected delays
Follows the monthly update of S-STS through construction execution, expedite Site issues in conjunction with supervisors and/or functional groups as required
Keeps an as-built schedule depicting a comparison of the original baseline versus the actual execution, identifying project specific reasons for contractually sensitive deviations
Updates, prepares and delivers S-STS weekly/monthly schedule progress reports as required by the project
Plans and implements internal and external reporting procedures
Ensures that the project team, partners and clients understand and adhere to their reporting requirements
Monitors, analyses and forecasts schedule performance compared to the established project plan using Critical Path Analysis Method (CPM) and Float Management. Focuses on early identification of risks and opportunities facilitates proactive actions that will optimise on-time performance of internal and subcontracted deliverables
Advises Site Manager / Site Coordinator and other functional Site Team members of status and recommended strategies to respond to identified risks and opportunities
Monitors and reports scheduled performance against performance to date and forecasted to completion, compared to baseline
Prepares schedule and progress reports including S-curves as per contract and internal requirements. Reports deviation against baseline in view of protecting project interest against potential claims
Represents project schedule matters with partners, suppliers, and clients
Delivers Lessons Learned and feedback for current and future projects
Keeps the Site Manager informed of all site related activities
What you will need?

University degree in mechanical or electrical Engineer or equivalent
Previous experience as Project Scheduler in the heavy / industrial business. Preferably in the field of Waste to Energy / Power Plant
Knowledge of relevant HSEQ legal and management system requirements
Valid Safety Contractors Certificate (SCC), Safepass (ROI), CSCS or CCNSG card or equivalent
Good working knowledge of Microsoft suite applications with user knowledge of Sharepoint, MS Project and Advanced Primavera 6
