SF Recruitment are supporting a leading Manufacturing business in recruiting for a Quality Technician.

General And Task Management:

- Measurement of various parts against customer and engineering drawings using digital verniers, micrometers, height gauges and gloss meters to ensure parts are within specification
- Writing up of Initial Sample Inspection Reports after recording measurements
- Processing daily Internal Non Conformance Reports:-
o Investigate Root Cause Analysis
o Liaise with Quality Engineers and related Teams with respects to problem solving, re-work or scrap
o Recording of required information on Internal Non Conformance Report and Database
- Assist with First Article Inspection and Factory Acceptance Tests
- Assist Quality Engineers with problem solving and managing quality related issues within the manufacturing team (e.g. internal, supplier, customer and customer warranty)
- Maintenance of the calibration system
- Assist in adhoc admin duties e.g. updating training matrices, document registers, etc
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities

Skills And Attributes:

- Strong ability to read complex engineering drawings
- Knowledge of quality systems, drawing and measurement
- Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis and Problem Solving techniques
- Ability to present data effectively paying attention to detail
- Experience in manufacturing is preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong interpersonal, organisational, office and planning skills
- Flexible proactive approach to work
- Ability to work in a fast paced, diverse, environment
- Ability to stay calm under pressure
- Good at juggling tasks and priorities
