Job Title: Production Operative

Location: Sandwich, Kent

Salary: £26,500

Hours: 4 on 4 off / 6 - 6

Role Summary:

To be responsible for the packing of manufactured products away and supporting the Production Operatives with supplying raw materials to the machines.

Free hot drinksKey responsibilities within your new role would be to:

Working with heavy machinery and computer-controlled equipment on the factory floor.
Setup production equipment before starting the production run.
Operate equipment safely and effectively.
Ensure that equipment is maintained and kept in a good and safe working condition.
Inspect equipment to identify any replacements, malfunctions and repairs.
Work under the guidance of Team Leader to perform and complete the assigned duties in timely manner.
Evaluate equipment performance and recommend improvements.
Perform quality checks on products and record machine data on a verification sheet, addressing any anomalies.
Carry out strip and cleans on all compounding lines.
Operate forklift trucks and other industrial vehicles to transfer raw material and finished goods.
Follow safety procedures and company policies for equipment operation.
Recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
Identify and report unsafe operations to Team Leader immediately.
Maintain the work area clean, safe and organised.Experience and skills required for this position:

Ideally you will have a counterbalance forklift licence but not essential.
Experience within a manufacturing background.
Effective communication skills.
Motivational skills and someone that is keen to learn.
Someone that is results-orientated.
Computer literate
Can work well in a team
