Office bases in Greenford, Acton and West Ealing

Main purpose of role:

To develop support services for unpaid family carers living or providing care to a resident of the London Borough of Ealing, with a particular focus on the development of a training and activities programme for adult carers
To work across the Ealing Carers Partnership and with other external partners to develop a coordinated and comprehensive annual programme that is based on what carers say they need. 
To establish and support the delivery of four Carer Cafes per month covering the following geographies: a) Northolt and Greenford b) Southall c) South Ealing and d) Perivale and West Ealing

The ideal candidate will have:

A good standard of basic education with English and Maths GCSE
Experience of organising public events and an awareness of relevant legislative requirements, such as risk assessments and health and safety considerations
Experienced in using all Microsoft Office applications and managing own computer work
Experience of giving emotional support over the phone and face-to-face
Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
An awareness and understanding of the issues affecting unpaid family carers

All postholders will be expected to travel throughout the borough, for which out-of-pocket expenses will be paid. We offer flexible office space in Acton, Greenford and West Ealing – to be discussed at interview.
