Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service serves a population of more than 800,000 in the Southeast of England. Around 400 firefighters operate from 19 fire stations from the outskirts of London to the South Midlands. We employ around 100 specialist support staff, from ICT to fire prevention. Public Safety Administrator
Location: Brigade Headquarters, Stocklake, Aylesbury, Bucks, HP20 1BD
Salary: £25,575 to £26,046 per annum
Contract: 12 months Fixed Term Contract
Hours: Full Time, 37 hours per week
About the role
The role of our administrators is varied and the heart of the organisation. The team provides crucial administrative support to our Prevention and Protection teams as well as being the first point of contact with members of the public, and our partner organisations.
The role will include:
* Managing incoming queries and referrals
* Stock control i.e., Ordering, and collating stock for fire alarms
* Reporting a number of fire alarms used and visits booked, etc
* General administrative tasks
Essential requirements include:
* Experience of working in an office or administrative role
* IT literate, competent using Microsoft packages

* A problem solver, who actively looks for ways to make processes better
* Organised and can prioritise tasks
