Job Title: SEN Learning Support

Location: Yorkshire and the Humber, West Yorkshire, Bradford

Job Type: Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours

Salary: £80 - £110 Per day

Job Duties:

Provide support to students with special educational needs (SEN) in a school setting
Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) for students
Support students with their academic, social, and emotional development
Adapt teaching materials and resources to meet the diverse needs of students
Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create inclusive learning environments
Assist students in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities
Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents
Promote independence and self-confidence in students with SEN
Manage challenging behaviours and implement behaviour management strategies
Ensure students' safety and well-being during school hours

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of a Level 3 qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Teaching Assistant, Special Educational Needs)
Valid Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate


Prior experience working with children or young people with special educational needs
Experience in supporting individuals with specific learning difficulties, autism, or behavioural challenges

Knowledge and Skills:

Understanding of various special educational needs and associated support strategies
Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational and time management abilities
Patience, empathy, and a caring nature

Working Conditions:

Work primarily takes place within a school setting
Full-time hours, typically following the school timetable
Temporary position with the possibility of extension
Collaboration with teachers, educational professionals, and parents

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
