Concrete Frame & Groundwork Packages
London
£40,000 - £55,000 + Package
About the Employer:
Our client has an excellent reputation in the reinforced concrete (RC) frame and groundwork sector, operating with a turnover around £65 million per annum carrying out packages ranging from £5 million to £15 million each. They are based office wise just outside North London and operate within the London area, working with some of the best residential and commercial main contractors and developers.
On a personal note, I know all of the directors of this business well with relationships spanning over 10+ years and can testify to their passion for developing staff and focus on maintaining a close knit, loyal team of people around them for the long term. This leadership team is made up of directors from major players in the market coming together to build a business that is constantly focusing on improvement and carving out an excellent reputation in the market. Their brand is strong already but as they grow, I can only see that progressing.
About the Opportunity:
As a Health & Safety Advisor your role will be split between the office and sites, covering 3-5 live sites while reporting to the company directors.
Each of the schemes we are looking at involve concrete frame and associated groundwork packages that value from £5 million to £15 million each.
It will be your responsibility to oversee works being carried out and to work with the teams to get the safety standards desired. The health & safety of all the staff is of the utmost importance with this company seeing it not only as a box ticking exercise, but a cultural belief to constantly improve safety standards on site to make sure everyone goes home each day unharmed.
About the Requirements:
To qualify for this role, applicants need to have worked for a rival Groundwork or RC Frame subcontractor in the UK in this exact role. Basic qualifications such as NEBOSH will be required and due to the working area, individuals will need to be based in or around North London, West London, or the Northern Home Counties.
As our client is looking for long term / permanent employees, they also look for longevity of employment in applicants CV’s, so please be aware that if you have moved jobs too regularly, that will be a disadvantage.
About the Remuneration:
For this position we are targeting individuals looking to earn anywhere from £40,000 to £55,000 per annum. Specific salary will be negotiated on a case by case basis with experience and suitability taken into account. Furthermore, there will be a generous package offered; travel allowance OR company vehicle in addition to standard benefits.
Our client is open to either PAYE or self-employed payment routes.
About Me, Your Consultant:
My name is Andrew Jackson and I am one of the founding directors of Cityscape Recruitment Ltd. I have over 19 years of experience in civil engineering & construction recruitment, during which time, I have specialised in the niche sectors of concrete frames, groundworks, basement construction and demolition.
So, what does that mean for you? It means, I work with the vast majority of the groundwork & concrete frame businesses in the UK and I can help not only introduce you, but I can give you up to date information on each of them, helping you make an informed decision so you can take your career forward.
I’ve been doing this for a while now and I’ve maintained a positive reputation doing what I do because I tell people the truth. I tell them everything I know and then let them choose. My job is simply to get you the options, give you the information and then let you decide what feels right for you.
How to Apply:
I am more than happy to discuss these opportunities with you over the phone or face to face in a fully confidential manner (you can get to know me while I get to know you). And I know this is an incestuous sector and I fully understand the importance of keeping things discrete.
It would be ideal to see a copy of your CV to understand your previous experience and employment. In line with GDPR laws, nothing will be done with your CV / details until we have discussed the role in detail anyway, but having gained an understanding of your formal past, this may help when we come to discuss options.
