Apply on Partner SiteNeuroSupport services are currently recruiting Support Workers and Healthcare Assistants with a background of Brain Injury and Mental health experience to support services users with an acquired Brain Injury. Our service aims to support rehabilitation and in enabling people to optimise independence and quality of life.
We are looking for psychology graduates,support Workers and Healthcare Assistants or suitable candidates who would be willing to support people both within their home environment and also willing to provide support in helping service users access the community. We are looking for candidates that are confident with working independently and providing empirical feedback where necessary.

Job Title: Female Therapy Rehab Assistant
Location: Church Stoke, Powys, SY15
Hourly Rate: £12-£14 per hour depending on experience.

Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours:
Monday: 8:00am - 13:00pm
Tuesday: 8:00am - 13:00pm
Wednesday: 8:00am - 13:00pm
Thursday: 8:00am - 13:00pm
Friday: 8:00am - 13:00pm
Would like a small number of hours to start but build up quickly once client acclimatised to having support. Would also like to explore the possibility to have support occasionally outside of usual hours (weekend or evenings) to support client to have social gatherings as part of their reengaging with their community.
About you-Essential Experience:
Our client requires a Therapy Rehab assistant to support facilitation of therapy from a professional lead MDT. An understanding of Traumatic Brain Injury and associated deficits / common concerns is essential. Also especially important for this client: fatigue and overwhelm management. The Successful Candidate MUST like horses / dogs etc.
About our client:
Our client is a 43-year-old female who has an acquired brain injury. She requires assistance with the following activities:
- Support with implementing therapy guidance.
- Supporting with caring for horses, dogs and cats.
- Support with childcare – client has a 12 year old child – assistance with driving to bus stop for school / collect, after school clubs and pony club camp.
- Support with batch cooking, shopping and meal planning.
- Some light housework if possible.
Successful Candidates will:
* Have access to full Training - including Brain Injury Awareness Training
* CPD opportunities
* Will be subject to Full Enhanced DBS

* Gain Experience working with an MDT
