The Role: Field Service Engineer
As a Field Service Engineer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring patient mobility and handling equipment remains safe, reliable, and in top working conditions. This is a field-based role where you will be servicing and repairing a wide range of mobility equipment, including patient hoists, profiling beds, wheelchairs, and bathing aids, among others. You'll be tasked with both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and responding to emergency breakdowns. Your ability to quickly diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and deliver excellent customer service will be key to your success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance and servicing of patient handling and mobility equipment, ensuring all work is carried out to the highest standards.
Diagnose and troubleshoot faults on a variety of equipment, including performing electrical diagnosis and mechanical repairs.
Carry out LOLER testing and inspections, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Provide excellent customer service, building strong relationships with clients and ensuring any issues are resolved swiftly and professionally.
Respond to emergency breakdowns promptly, minimizing equipment downtime for clients.
Keep accurate records of all work completed, including detailed service reports and compliance documentation.
Maintain a strong knowledge of all company products, participating in ongoing training and product updates.
Work collaboratively with internal teams, providing feedback and insights to help improve service offerings and customer satisfaction.Why Join the Client?

Competitive basic salary £28,000 to £33,000 per annum.

A strong background in mechanical and electrical engineering, with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
Previous experience working with mobility or healthcare equipment is highly advantageous but not essential.
Engineers from the Armed Forces are encouraged to apply - we value the skills and discipline you bring to the role.
A thorough understanding of LOLER regulations and previous testing experience is preferred.
Excellent problem-solving abilities with a customer-first approach to service.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues in a clear and concise manner.
Full UK driving license with a clean record - this is essential as the role involves traveling across the North West region.
Must be able to pass an Enhanced DBS check.
Existing right to work in the UK.Schedule

Full-time, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend availability.
Overtime available to increase your earning potential.Location
This is a field-based role, covering the Staffordshire (Cannock area). You will be required to travel to various client sites, including hospitals, care homes, and residential properties.
