A primary school located between Bristol & Bath is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team. Whether you have experience in the classroom or come from a background in youth work, sports coaching, or child counselling, we welcome your application. Key Responsibilities:

Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities, assisting students in both group and one-on-one settings.
Help manage classroom behaviour and foster a positive learning environment for all students.
Provide individual support for students with additional needs, helping them with their academic and personal development.
Assist with preparing lesson materials and maintaining an organised and stimulating classroom.
Act as a role model for students, promoting positive behaviour, teamwork, and perseverance.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff to support students’ progress and well-being.
We Welcome Applicants With Experience In:

Youth Work: Your ability to connect with young people and understand their needs is invaluable in supporting students both academically and emotionally.
Sports Coaching: Your experience fostering teamwork, discipline, and confidence will contribute to the development of well-rounded, active learners.
Child Counselling: Your skills in listening and providing emotional support will be vital in helping students navigate challenges and thrive in school.
Qualifications and Experience:

Experience working with children in any capacity is highly desirable.
A genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of young people.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well as part of a team and build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or youth work are a plus but not essential.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
