Our client is seeking a talented Production Planning Manager to oversee and manage the production planning process. This pivotal role ensures manufacturing schedules align with customer demand, inventory levels, and supply chain constraints. Reporting to the Senior Planning Manager, the successful candidate will lead a dynamic team and collaborate across departments to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and meet delivery deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain production schedules to balance customer demand with operational capacity.
* Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstocking while aligning with supply chain strategies.
* Analyse trends and forecast future production needs, recommending capacity adjustments as necessary.
* Evaluate and optimise planning processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
* Coordinate with procurement, sales, logistics, and other teams to achieve seamless operations.
* Address challenges, including material shortages or demand spikes, with effective solutions.
* Provide detailed insights into production performance and adherence to KPIs.
Qualifications and Experience
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in production planning (FMCG background preferred).
* Proven managerial experience, with a track record of success in leading teams.
* Strong proficiency in ERP systems, production planning software (e.g., Preactor, Microsoft Dynamics), and Excel (advanced skills preferred).
* Solid understanding of inventory management, forecasting systems, and manufacturing processes, including freeze and temper plans.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
