Hyperion Partners are pleased to be working with a leading Student Accommodation Provider to recruit a talented and experienced Multi-Trade Operative with a Plumbing Bias. The Role

As a Multi-Trade Operative with a specialism in plumbing, you will be a key member of the maintenance team, responsible for ensuring the accommodation sites are kept in excellent condition. You will carry out a wide range of repair and maintenance tasks with a particular focus on plumbing, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and with minimal disruption to residents.

Key Responsibilities

Perform a variety of maintenance tasks, including plumbing, carpentry, painting, and basic electrical work.

Address and resolve plumbing-related issues such as leaks, blockages, and repairs to fixtures and fittings.

Carry out planned preventative maintenance and repairs across the accommodation sites.

Respond quickly and effectively to maintenance requests from residents or staff.

Conduct routine property inspections to identify and resolve issues proactively.

Ensure all works are completed in compliance with health and safety regulations.

Maintain accurate records of completed tasks and materials used.

Collaborate with the wider facilities team to deliver excellent customer service to residents.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a versatile and experienced operative with a strong plumbing background who is committed to maintaining high-quality living spaces. The ideal candidate will have:

Proven experience as a multi-trade operative, with a strong emphasis on plumbing.

NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in plumbing or a related qualification (essential).

Practical skills and experience in other maintenance disciplines such as carpentry, painting, and basic electrics.

A proactive and problem-solving approach, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with residents and colleagues.

A good understanding of health and safety requirements.

Flexibility to work on a variety of tasks and respond to emergencies when needed
