Are you a dedicated professional with a passion for supporting vulnerable children? We are seeking a compassionate SEN Intervention Tutor to deliver personalised lessons in Functional Skills, Maths, or English to students with additional learning needs in Havering.

About the Role

As an SEN Intervention Tutor, you will provide one-to-one educational support to students with special educational needs, fostering confidence and developing key skills. Your role will involve adapting lessons to meet each student's unique needs, ensuring they receive the guidance necessary to succeed.

Lessons will be delivered in students' homes or other agreed locations, with flexible morning, afternoon, or evening sessions available. This part-time, temporary role offers between 1 and 30 hours per week, depending on your availability and the student's requirements.

Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver tailored lessons for SEN students.
Provide a nurturing and supportive environment to help students build confidence.
Monitor progress and adjust teaching strategies to meet learning goals.
Address the needs of students with complex learning difficulties, including ASD and ADHD.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

Proven expertise working with students with special educational needs (SEN).
Right to work in the UK.
An Enhanced DBS
Min 1 year teaching

Desired Qualities:

PGCE or QTS qualification.
Extensive experience as a teacher, tutor, or teaching assistant (TA) with SEN students.
A patient, nurturing, and compassionate approach to teaching.
Excellent communication skills to engage students and collaborate with families.
