Electrical Design Manager – Leading Design & Build Contractor

We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-known Design & Build contractor with a strong in-house M&E division. They specialise in high-quality residential, student accommodation, and mixed-use developments across London. With multiple live sites and a full pipeline of work, they’re now seeking an Electrical Design Manager.

What You’ll Be Doing:

⚡ Leading the electrical design process on multi-unit residential and commercial projects

📐 Developing and reviewing design solutions, drawings, and specifications

🔁 Coordinating with in-house teams (architectural, structural, mechanical) to ensure design integration

📝 Managing compliance with UK building regulations, British Standards, and client requirements

👷‍♂️ Supporting site teams with technical advice and resolving design-related challenges

📊 Contributing to value engineering, project planning, and design risk management

🤝 Liaising with clients, consultants, and external contractors throughout the project lifecycle

What You’ll Need:

- Proven experience in electrical building services design (residential or commercial)

- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset

- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
