My client is a leading construction company and currently seeking a skilled MEP Manager to oversee all aspects of Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) construction, including design, procurement, delivery, and commissioning.
In this dynamic role, you will ensure the flawless operation of all systems and guarantee that installations meet the highest industry standards.
Project Details:
The project involves a major mixed-use development, providing 400+ apartments across multiple new blocks. This is a complex project, presenting a range of exciting challenges and opportunities.
Main Responsibilities:
Ensure that all MEP elements are accurately scoped and procured in line with the client's requirements.
Facilitate clear communication between M&E consultants and onsite delivery teams to ensure client expectations are met.
Prepare detailed progress reports for management and clients, maintain up-to-date M&E drawings, and ensure all stages of delivery are documented to meet regulatory standards.
Oversee commissioning activities, ensuring every test and inspection is carried out to perfection.
Advise on system functionality, handle design variations, and manage subcontractor performance.
Required Experience:
Proven experience in a similar MEP role, preferably with a main contractor or reputable building services contractor.
A track record of managing M&E commissioning activities from design to final handover.
Experience with early-stage project procurement of M&E elements.
Expertise in overseeing subcontractors, ensuring safety and quality compliance, and managing timelines for new build or cut-and-carve projects.
SMSTS qualification.
Relevant degree or building services qualification in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
Practical knowledge of Fieldview and 4 Projects.
In-depth understanding of industry standards and legislation, including Health and Safety, building regulations, and site-specific requirements.
