Jobsworth Recruitment are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented 2D CAD Engineer/Estimator in Dudley. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the design and drafting process, utilising advanced CAD software to create precise technical drawings and plans. This position is ideal for individuals who possess a strong understanding of engineering principles and have a keen eye for detail. As a CAD Technician, you will contribute to various projects, ensuring that all designs meet the required specifications and standards.

Position- Temp to Perm

Location- Dudley

Working Hours- Monday to Thursday 8am till 5pm Friday 8am till 4:30pm

Salary- £30,000 a year

Responsibilities

* Develop detailed engineering drawings and plans using CAD software based on specifications provided by engineers or architects.

* Collaborate with project teams to understand design requirements and ensure accuracy in all drawings.

* Review and modify existing drawings as necessary to accommodate changes or improvements.

* Maintain organised records of all designs, revisions, and project documentation.

* Assist in cost control by providing accurate estimates based on design specifications.

* Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations throughout the design process.

* Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to facilitate project progress.

Requirements

* Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) is essential.

* Strong understanding of engineering principles and practices.

* Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.

* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

* Experience in cost control is highly desirable.

* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate effectively with team members.

* A relevant qualification in engineering, architecture, or a related field is preferred
