Job Title: Chartered Building Surveyor with a view to becoming Associate

Job Description:

1st Select Ltd are working in partnership with a well-established and growing consultancy to recruit a Chartered Building Surveyor who is ready to make the step up to Associate. This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a senior-level professional to join the leadership team, with a genuine pathway toward equity ownership.

The ideal candidate will currently be operating as an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor, while also managing a team of professionals—including chartered and non-chartered surveyors, technicians, and sub-consultants. The role combines project delivery, team leadership, and active involvement in business development.

Key Responsibilities:

* Carrying out the full range of duties of a commercial Chartered Building Surveyor

* Leading and mentoring a multidisciplinary team

* Acting as the client lead on projects and frameworks

* Contributing to overall business management including finance, marketing, and strategic planning

Requirements:

* MRICS or FRICS qualified

* Extensive experience in the private sector, ideally across commercial, education, and/or industrial sectors

* Strong knowledge of CDM regulations and the Building Safety Act

* Familiarity with BIM processes is advantageous

* Proven ability to operate at senior management level

* Competent in industry tools such as NBS, AutoCAD, and SAGE

* Full UK driving license
