We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to support the Management Accountant in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting across a group of companies for a growing company on the outskirts of Brentwood.

This role also offers hybrid working.

Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate financial records, including cash and bank transactions, reconciliations, and balance sheets.
Manage purchase ledger processes, ensuring invoices and payments are processed promptly and supplier queries are handled efficiently.
Prepare and reconcile month-end journals, including prepayments and accruals.
Administer and reconcile company credit card transactions.
Support with additional finance-related duties as required by management.About You:
Previous experience in a finance or accounting environment.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Ideally studying towards a professional accountancy qualification (e.g., AAT, ACCA, CIMA), though this is not essential
