Randstad is delighted to be partnering with a leading main contractor who is currently undertaking a prestigious hotel refurbishment/new build project in London. They are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Finishing Manager to oversee and ensure the exceptional completion of all internal and external finishes.

About Our Client:

Our client is a well-respected and established main contractor with a strong portfolio of high-end projects across various sectors, including significant experience in the hospitality industry. They are committed to delivering projects to the highest standards of quality and are looking for a dedicated Finishing Manager to play a key role in the successful handover of this landmark hotel development.

The Role:

As the Finishing Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the finishing phase of this high-specification hotel project. You will be the driving force behind ensuring that all interior and exterior finishes are completed to the required quality, within programme, and to the exacting standards expected of a luxury hotel environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage all finishing trades, including but not limited to painting and decorating, flooring, tiling, carpentry, joinery, FF&E installation, and external landscaping/finishes.
Develop and implement detailed finishing programmes, ensuring seamless coordination between different trades.
Conduct regular quality inspections, identifying and rectifying any defects or snagging issues promptly and efficiently.
Liaise closely with the Project Manager, Site Management team, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure clear communication and alignment.
Manage and motivate all finishing subcontractors, ensuring they are working to the required standards and programme.
Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with relevant building regulations and health and safety standards.
Maintain a meticulous snagging list and drive its timely completion.
Proactively identify and resolve any potential finishing-related issues or delays.
Manage the handover process for finished areas, ensuring client satisfaction.
Monitor progress against the programme and report any deviations.
Ensure all materials are delivered and installed correctly and to specification.Candidate Requirements:

Proven and extensive experience as a Finishing Manager on hotel projects is essential.
A strong understanding of high-quality interior and exterior finishes required for luxury hotel environments.
Excellent knowledge of finishing materials, techniques, and quality standards.
Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality control.
Strong planning, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships.
Ability to effectively manage and motivate subcontractor teams.
A thorough understanding of health and safety regulations within a construction environment.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting drawings and specifications.
