Do you have experience working in a finance / accounts function within a commercial business?  Do you have a solid understanding of financial and management reporting, and experience using Sage and Xero?

An exciting brand new Accounts Manager opportunity has arisen to lead, develop, and shape the future of an existing accounts team that supports a growing group of companies.  This is a fantastic opportunity to make your mark in a brand new role within a friendly, sociable team, adding structure and developing systems and processes (including those around business reporting) to support the continued growth of the business and increase automation.  

In your new Accounts Manager role, you will be responsible for:

Managing the existing accounts team, supervising and assisting with key monthly reconciliations 
Ensuring management accounts are drafted on time for review by the Finance Director
Supporting Directors with detailed monthly P&L analysis
Setting and maintaining budgets, providing P&L comparisons and ensuring variances are analysed
Keeping asset registers up to date 
Developing weekly and monthly business intelligence reports
Delivering accurate financial information to the business, highlighting variances and key metrics
Working alongside managers of other departments to develop their understanding of the business
To carry out your new Accounts Manager role, your proven experience working within an accounts or finance function and commercial capability will be of most importance, together with a good understanding of financial and management reporting and a structured approach to your work.  Alongside experience using Sage and Xero, solid MS Excel and VBA skills will be needed, complimented by your analytical skills.  Strong people management skills at all levels in the business and the ability to build good relationships within the existing team will be crucial as well.

Salary £35,000 - £45,000 p.a. (depending on level of experience), plus benefits including pension and company social events.  There is also free of charge parking nearby as well
